Congratulations to All!!

Greetings from the East

At the last stated communication we installed most of the officers for the new year. We had a lot of business to cover so things moved pretty fast. The road cleanup was scheduled for Wednesday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m. and we are to meet at Arnie Peterson’s just West of Chaska. The ‘Help a Brother Day’ was set aside to work on the Grand Master’s project in Belle Plaine.

We awarded two $750.00 scholarships to area students. These funds will be matched by the Grand Lodge. Kolacky Days is scheduled for July 27, 28 and 29 in Montgomery. At the same time we are scheduled to work on the Kid’s I.D. Program. We can work with the Sheriff’s Department at the Scott County Fair.

We are again planning to have a Summer Picnic in Shakopee with the Eastern Star Chapters. It will be a chance to try out the new trailer to serve pork burgers. The Masonite Chicken Dinner is scheduled for the third Thursday in August. The cost will be $8 per person and tickets will be sold at the door, but we will need a head count in advance.

We will need an itemized financial report for last year from the various standing Committees so we can schedule a new budget for this year.

Don Reick WM

Editors Note

This is to be the first edition of the newsletter that I have put together and I certainly could have not done it without some special help. That help primarily from Ms. Kathy Peterson. A sincere thank you to her from all of us at MRVL #6.

I do apoligize for the lateness of this issue – sometimes the learning curve just has to be pushed. July’s issue promises to have input from a variety of new officers so stay tuned. If you have an article or anything you believe would go well with our Newsletter, just forward it via e-mail to: news@mn-rivervalley.org and I will do my personal best to make it fit.
