NEW DAYLIGHT LODGE FORMING

A new Daytime Lodge that will meet at the Minneapolis Scottish Rite Temple
is being considered. All those interested in becoming a member of a daytime
lodge are invited to attend an informational meeting to be held on Tuesday,
December 16, 2003 at 9:00 AM in the dining room of the Scottish Rite. Coffee
and pastries will be available.

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, please join us
and share your ideas as to how this can be done and how this lodge can be
structured. If you are unable to attend, you can still provide input by
contacting the Scottish Rite Secretary, Brother Ron Nelson, at 612-871-1500
or by e-mail: secretary@scottish-rite-mpls.org

________

The last One-Day to Masonry class, for this term, will be held on January
17th 2004 in Minneapolis. All three degrees will be conferred (not just the
second and third degrees as in the last two January events) Petitions (no
special form required) will be needed in the Grand Lodge office by January
8th to participate. Are you interested in taking a part in one of the
degrees? Contact the Grand Lodge office. Fees will be the same as last June:
$150.00 plus the 2004 dues for the candidate; $35.00 for Masons who will
accompany the candidates to the degrees and the banquet.
Govern yourselves accordingly.

The Craft has begun its work on the State Fair 2004 Kids ID program a little
early this year. The most important part is scheduling workers. Our goal is
to be fully staffed by May 2004. Many lodges have volunteered for blocks of
time in the past. Now is the time to start discussing this with your lodge.
Taking a day would be highly appreciated. Your lodge can also sign up in
four-hour shifts. As those of you who participated last year know, it takes
seven people to fill a shift. We need two people up front to greet people,
two running cameras, two for the fingerprinting, and one to relieve the
other six.

If you have any questions about scheduling time for your lodge or
individually, please contact:
