'The Plumb Line'
From the Grand Master
March 2004

Hello Brothers,

By now I am sure that most of you have had an opportunity to review the list
of Resolutions that will be brought to a vote at this upcoming Grand Lodge
Session. I encourage you to discuss these ideas with your Lodge officers.
Each Resolution has been well researched and will be fully discussed at the
Session. Please come with an open mind and vote for the good of the Craft.

Minnesota DeMolay and Minnesota Jobs Daughters are pleased to announce a
joint membership effort. On March 6, 2004, we will hold our first ever joint
prospect party. We are planning a mock Casino event where members and
prospective members will be able to learn about our organizations in a fun
environment.

If you know of a young man or woman who might be interested in joining
either organization, please bring him or her to the Zuhrah Shrine Center on
March 6, 2004. Our Casino event will start at 3:30 p.m., and should be done
by 6:30 p.m. Every participant will be given "play" money to use, as well as
snacks and soda pop. We will have presentations about both Jobs and DeMolay
during the afternoon, interspersed with other fun activities.

At the end of the afternoon we will be having an auction. We are in need of
donations for this event. Donations may be in the form of a prize, or cash
that will be used to purchase prizes for the young people.

If you are interested in donating something to be auctioned:

Donations may be sent to:

Historic Building Lost by Fire

On January 15, 2004 the Bangor Masonic Temple Association' 136 year-old
building was destroyed by fire. This historic building was home to two
Masonic Lodges, the York Rite bodies, the Scottish Rite bodies, Tuscan
Chapter OES, DeMolay, the Scottish Rite learning Center and two private
businesses, a shoe repair and an art gallery. All paraphernalia, jewels and
aprons, furniture, files and records, artifacts, costumes and garments were
lost.

Firemen stated that they saw file cabinets and safes falling from the fifth
floor to the cellar. Fortunately no one was hurt.
Should anyone wish to assist in the recovery please send your gift to:
